Silver at Scandinavian Open BJJ 2009

Gunnar got silver at the Scandinavian Open BJJ 2009 in Stockholm, Sweden, last weekend, in the Black Belt -88kg weight class. This was Gunnar's first Gi tournament as a BJJ black belt. Ten Icelanders from the Gunnar's home club Mjölnir competed at the tournament, all in the blue and white belt classes except Gunnar. The Icelandic competitors did very well, bringing home 8 medals (2 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze). This was the first time Mjölnir participates in an international tournament.
