Gunnar returns to the Octagon in Rotterdam
Gunnar will return to the Octagon on May 8th in Rotterdam when he will go against the Russian hand-to-hand combat champion Albert Tumenov at the first UFC in the Netherlands.
Tumenov in on a five win streak in the UFC with his only loss there coming in his short-notice UFC debut with a controversial split decision loss in Brazil. Since then he’s won all his five bout including three KO’s and one Performance of the Night. He is currently ranked no. 14-15 in the UFC welterweight rankings. Tumenov has the impressive overall MMA record of 17 wins and only 2 losses (both decisions) and 11 KO’s, thereof his 3 KO’s in the UFC have all been in the first round.
Gunnar says that he’s looking forward to stepping into the Octagon against the very good Tumenov on May 8th and also that he’s very excited to be fighting in Europe again and on Netherlands first UFC card.
